Russian Circles' new album 'Gnosis' is a masterpiece of post-metal and post-rock. The band maintains their signature style of intuitive riff selection, resulting in a thoughtful giant that gazes into the distance. The release is like an eternal roaring engine, with guitars and bass creating a thick string alloy and endless drum pirouettes adding to the drama and tension. This album is a definite 10/10 and would make a great soundtrack for the movie 'Firestarter' starring Drew Barrymore and her pyrokinetic abilities.
